BISHOP LEONARD TALKS ON THE MISSION WORK IN HIS DIOCESE。

More than six thousand people living in and around Lata, the headquarter of Temotu Province, and hundreds from the nearby islands within Temotu Diocese of the Anglican Church of Melanesia came to witness the consecration and installation of the Reverend Father Leonard Dawea as the fifth bishop of the Diocese at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Lata, Santa Cruz, on Sunday the 11th of September 2016.
The Diocese of Temotu Electoral Board of the Anglican Church of Melanesia has today the 21st of June 2016 elected the Reverend Leonard Dawea as the fifth bishop for the Diocese of Temotu.
The meeting which was preceded by a retreat yesterday was held at Tabalia, the headquarters of the Melanesian Brotherhood, West of Honiara.
THE Provincial Electoral Board of the Anglican Church of Melanesia has elected the Right Reverend George Takeli as the sixth Archbishop of the Province today the 12th of February 2016 at TNK, Tenaru area east Honiara. He will also be the new bishop of the Diocese of central Melanesia.
THE Archbishop of Melanesia, who is also the patron of the Mothers’ Union MU has urged the Mothers’ Union delegates to promote the place of women in the Church and Society.
The Most Rev’d David Vunagi made the statement at the official opening of this 13th Provincial Mothers Union General Conference at the Melanesia haus on Monday 25th August 2014.

The Anglican Church of Melanesia yesterday loaded their flag ship MV Southern Cross with foods, house hold materials, clothing, gardening tools, stationaries and other materials for the victims of the recent Tsunami that pounded and flooded the coastal villages of Nea, Bania, Manoputi, Nemba, Venga, Luova, and Malo on Santa Cruz.
