THE Anglican Community of the Sisters of the Church (CSC), called Saint Scholastica Household at Kolohavi in Bugotu has now sealed ownership of their area.
They sealed the ownership of the portion of land by presenting a wooden canoe, paddles, custom umbrellas, live pigs, mats, and lots and lots of baskets of food crops as well as bags of rice, sugar, car-tons of Taiyo, cartons of Noodle and bags of flour as well as a token of $15,000.00 cash, through a process called ‘Dokulu Hui’ to Reverend Wilson Mapuru and Tribe.
My Vision for the Diocese of Ysabel.
In the words of Paul, the church is the foundation of hope, justice and love. It is the place where repentance and forgiveness is found and received. Thus, in the light of the Church Mission Statement, I would like the people and the Church in the diocese of Ysabel to be saved.
More than one thousand church members in and around Jejevo parish in the Diocese of Ysabel (DOY) witnessed and took part in litugicalo service marking the official retirement of their Diocesan Bishop, the Right Rev. Richard Naramana on Sunday the 20th September 2015.
THE ANGLICAN OVERSEAS AID (AOA) donated five (5) HP Laptops to Kolaero Rural Training Center at the ACOM conference room on Friday 10th April 2015.
The General Secretary of the Anglican Church of Melanesia Dr. Abraham Hauriasi and ACOM Solar Project Coordinator Mr. Hollan Sikou handed over the laptops to the Principal of Kolaero RTC Mr. Oliver Manepitu and Rev. Reuben Epongo, the school’s chaplain.
The Mano Wadrokal School of Theology and Ministry in the Diocese of Ysabel (DOY) witnessed the first Diploma students graduating under the new Decentralization Program of Theology Education in the Anglican Church of Melanesia on Monday (10th November 2014).
The General Secretary, Abraham Hauriasi, and the Lands and Property officer, Mr. Simon Naotoro, paid a visit to the Diocesan head Quarters of the Diocese of Ysabel and some its institutions from 25th to 27th August.
On Monday 25 August, contract document formalising the transfer of the title of the jejevo land to ACom was signed between the General Secretary, Abraham Hauriasi, on behalf of ACoM, and Mr. Augustine Newman for the Trustees of the land on which diocesan administration of the Diocese of Ysabel is located.
THE Archbishop of Melanesia, who is also the patron of the Mothers’ Union MU has urged the Mothers’ Union delegates to promote the place of women in the Church and Society.
The Most Rev’d David Vunagi made the statement at the official opening of this 13th Provincial Mothers Union General Conference at the Melanesia haus on Monday 25th August 2014.
