THE Anglican Church of Melanesia (ACOM) will consecrate and Install the Reverend James Tama to the office of the Bishop of Vanuatu and New Caledonia this coming Sunday 12th August at Sarakata Parish in Santo, Vanuatu.

THE Anglican Community of the Sisters of the Church (CSC), called Saint Scholastica Household at Kolohavi in Bugotu has now sealed ownership of their area.
They sealed the ownership of the portion of land by presenting a wooden canoe, paddles, custom umbrellas, live pigs, mats, and lots and lots of baskets of food crops as well as bags of rice, sugar, car-tons of Taiyo, cartons of Noodle and bags of flour as well as a token of $15,000.00 cash, through a process called ‘Dokulu Hui’ to Reverend Wilson Mapuru and Tribe.
Twenty-two teachers from the Anglican Church of Melanesia (ACOM) run schools had undergone three-day workshop held at ACOM Provincial Headquarters Conference room from Monday 30th July-Wednesday 1 August.
MORE than thirty participants comprising clergy from the Diocese of Central Melanesia and Diocese of Guadalcanal, including those serving at the ACoM Provincial Head Office, representatives from the Mothers Union office, staff of the Christian Care Centre, Diocesan Mothers Union office and representatives from the four religious orders are currently in a two week Pastoral Counseling Training being held at the Melanesia Leaf Haus at the Saint Barnabas Provincial Cathedral.
JOINING the other Mission to Seafarers Centers around the world, the Anglican Church of Melanesia (ACoM) Mission to Seafarers office, together with the Solomon Islands Maritime Safety Administration (SIMSA), the Solomon Islands Ports Authority, the seafarers, ship owners and other stakeholders came together to commemorate the Sea Sunday at the Solomon Islands Ports Authority (SIPA) Wharf on 8th July.
EIGHT Novices (pictured) were the pioneers of the David Sale Section Headquarters in the Diocese of Guadalcanal.
They were admitted on 25th April by the Section Elder Brother Mark Tofodi and the Diocesan Bishop of the Diocese of Guadalcanal, the Right Reverend Nathan Tome.
MORE than fifty youth members from Tasimboko Ikombu District in the Diocese of Guadalcanal attended a week long rally held at the Society of Saint Francis Friary, Vuru west Guadalcanal.
The Youth rally began on Sunday 4th July with a colorful opening ceremony.
