JOINING the other Mission to Seafarers Centers around the world, the Anglican Church of Melanesia (ACoM) Mission to Seafarers office, together with the Solomon Islands Maritime Safety Administration (SIMSA), the Solomon Islands Ports Authority, the seafarers, ship owners and other stakeholders came together to commemorate the Sea Sunday at the Solomon Islands Ports Authority (SIPA) Wharf on 8th July.

EIGHT Novices (pictured) were the pioneers of the David Sale Section Headquarters in the Diocese of Guadalcanal.

They were admitted on 25th April by the Section Elder Brother Mark Tofodi and the Diocesan Bishop of the Diocese of Guadalcanal, the Right Reverend Nathan Tome.

MORE than fifty youth members from Tasimboko Ikombu District in the Diocese of Guadalcanal attended a week long rally held at the Society of Saint Francis Friary, Vuru west Guadalcanal.

The Youth rally began on Sunday 4th July with a colorful opening ceremony.

ST. JAMES Church in Burns Creek, a satellite church of Vura Transfiguration Parish commemorated their patron’s day, Saint James on Sunday.

Next Dean for ACOM Provincial Cathedral

REVEREND PHILIP RONGOTHA, the current Vicar General of the Diocese of Central Melanesia (DOCM) is the next Dean to the Anglican Church of Melanesia (ACOM) Provincial Cathedral – Saint Barnabas Cathedral.

THE ALL SAINTS PARISH of the Anglican Church in the Diocese of Central Melanesia (DOCM) commemorated on Sunday 5th November 2017 their feast day with a remarkable ceremony. The service also included the ordination of four deacons into priesthood.

CCC OPEN’S NEW HOME FOR VICTIMS OF GBV

THE Anglican Church of Melanesia (ACOM) owned Christian Care Centre (CCC) has officially blessed and dedicated the newly built home for the young female victims OF Gender Based Violence (GBV) called ‘Rainbow Wing’ on the 13th of October 2017 located at Tenaru, North Guadalcanal.

THE Anglican Church of Melanesia (ACOM) consecrated the Reverend Rickson George Maomaoru as the second Assistant Bishop of the Diocese of Malaita (DOM) on Sunday 22 October.

THE Church owned Selwyn College has hosted its 2017 graduation and prize giving day on Friday 6th October 2017 with a theme “embracing education through Challenge”.

Parents from far and near travelled to the school to witness another successful chapter of the school.
