A three-day workshop on the Diocesan Transformation Centers (DTC) Concept and Child Evangelism was held in Lata, Diocese of Temotu from the 12th to the 14th of August.
Rev. Stephen Zaku and Rev. Jabez Akao from the Anglican Church of Melanesia Evangelism and Intentional Discipleship office in Honiara conducted the workshops, which were attended by the Diocesan Bishop of Temotu, the Right Rev. Patteson Nibeo, staff from the diocesan headquarters, and other ministerial leaders in and around Lata.
The workshop was aimed at empowering church leaders and members by providing comprehensive education on the DTC Concept, a vital initiative for advancing the Diocese’s mission; Rev. Stephen said in one of his sessions.
In addition, the sessions were designed to equip participants with the skills necessary to develop and deliver child evangelism lessons, highlighting the importance of early spiritual formation.
A similar workshop was also held at the Diocesan Headquarters of the Diocese of Central Solomons in previous months, which also brought together a large number of participants from the diocesan office and nearby parish and ministerial leaders.
