THE Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Melanesia the Most Reverend David Vunagi is making visits to all ACOM Schools and Institutions in and around Honiara.
Since the beginning of February, Archbishop Vunagi has visited Bishop Patteson Theological College and Primary and Secondary Schools.
The visit is to encourage teachers and students in their schooling and to assure the schools and institutions of his personal support.
During these visits, he also carried out the induction of new teachers in the schools and institutions as well as commissioning the teachers as they begin their academic year 2015.
“All of you are here for purpose and that is to teach and learn,” the Archbishop said in his address to the schools.
“I expect all of your teachings, learning, and working together, praying together to fulfill the principles founded by Bishop George Augustus Selwyn pioneer Missionary of the Anglican Church of Melanesia and that is true religion, sound learning and useful industry,” Archbishop Vunagi said.
The schools visited are: Selwyn College, Norman Palmer School, Vaturanga primary school, and St. Nicholas College.
